About the event
The Limited Residential Contractor Licensing Course (LRC) is the next step for many who are looking to transition from construction worker to contractor and for those looking to start a construction business.
The 32 hours of instruction includes a review of the license application process, the International Building Code, an introduction to TN construction laws, legal and financial issues, accounting practices, loans, liens, and insurance. Class participants will receive fundamental instruction needed to own and operate a small construction company in areas such as blueprint reading and estimating, building to specifications and adherence to codes and regulations.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a Certification of Completion (usually within 7-10 business days). This certificate must accompany the license application as proof of course completion. **The Certificate of Completion is good for 2 years.**
